How Lumen One Is Made (And Why It Matters)
Lumen One was never designed to be just another drizzle. From grove to glass, every decision is made with one goal in mind: preserving freshness, potency, and the compounds that make olive oil genuinely beneficial.
This is how it comes together.
Step 1: Selecting the Olives
We source from groves in Northern Victoria growing olive varieties naturally high in polyphenols. Harvesting happens early in the season, when antioxidant levels are at their highest and flavour is vibrant and alive.
Early harvest means lower yield, but higher concentration. It’s a trade off we make deliberately.
Step 2: Cold Extraction
Olives are milled within hours of harvest and pressed at low temperatures. This gentle process helps protect delicate compounds like oleocanthal and hydroxytyrosol, which are sensitive to heat and time.
The result is an oil that retains both its nutritional integrity and its fresh, expressive character.
Step 3: Small Batch Bottling
Each batch is bottled in small runs to minimise exposure to oxygen and preserve quality over time. We use UV resistant glass to protect the oil from light, helping maintain stability and potency from the first pour to the last.
Every bottle is traceable back to its batch.
Step 4: Independent Lab Testing
Every batch of Lumen One is independently tested for:
- Total polyphenols
- Free fatty acids
- Peroxide value
- UV coefficients
- Heavy metals
We share these results so you can see exactly what’s in your bottle and make informed choices about what you’re using daily.
Why It Matters
This process allows us to consistently produce olive oil with 400+ mg/kg of polyphenols. High enough to be functional, smooth enough to enjoy every day.
Lumen One is designed to be used intentionally. One spoon, once a day, as part of a health ritual you can trust.
